This Week at Macedonia

BIRTHDAYS THIS WEEK: Christian Ansley, Jordan Welch, Katharine Jones Burdette.

PRAYER CARDS: As an addition to our ongoing ministry of prayer, Mrs. Annette is going to mail cards to the folks we lift up each week,

telling them that we are praying for them. When you call out a name, please, if at all possible, provide a mailing address to her. You may write

the person’s name and address on a “Visitor’s Card” and drop that in the offering plate.

ARE YOU READY FOR BREAKFAST? Next Sunday our monthly gathering for the UMM and the UMW returns. The men meet at 7 a.m. to cook

, and we all sit down for good food at 8 a.m. If you’ve never attended one of these times, or it’s been a while since you’ve joined us, September 12 is

the time to start – or start back.

GIFTS FOR SERVICE MEN AND WOMEN: In recent weeks we have added the names of several service personnel who are overseas. We would

like to send Christmas packages to them. More details will be forthcoming, but please give names and addresses to David or Bonnie.

SAMARA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH: Today we are receiving a special offering to help the believers in Samara, Russia. Anything that is

 given that day that is not marked for another fund will go to Samara. Christmas at Cedar Rock has contributed $1,000 Our goal is an additional

$2,000. If we exceed the $2,000, it will all go to Samara.

CHARGE CONFERENCE: The annual charge conference for Macedonia Tuesday, September 21 at 7:30 p.m.

PRAY FOR FOUNTAIN: The powers that be have rejected all settlement opportunities, and have asked for a jury trial on September 15.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A UNITED METHODIST: A new five-session study will begin September 12. Because of the number of folks who

have expressed an interest, we will meet in the large gathering room in the Fellowship Hall.
